
BLT Salad on Toasted Baguette with Saga Danish Style Blue Cheese
A simple twist on this classic sandwich creates a new classic salad with the addition of Saga® Danish Style Blue Cheese.

Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
Coarse salt & pepper
1 6 inch French baguette
¼ cup basil or tomato pesto
Pinch of salt
¼ cup Saga® Crumbled Blue Cheese
6 capri tomatoes, sliced
4 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
2 cups baby greens
Methods
What to do: Prepare the dressing by whisking together the olive oil and vinegar; set aside. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and spread both sides with pesto. Add a pinch of salt and sprinkle on half the crumbled blue cheese. Place under a hot broiler and toast. Arrange the baguette halves on serving plates and layer with tomato slices and bacon. Toss greens with dressing and place on top. Sprinkle with remaining blue cheese.
