Sweet Onion Sauce with Fettuccine
A sweet pasta idea that will be something new to serve to your family. Why use store-bought sauce, when you can whip up a decadent homemade pasta creation using one pan? You’ll love the creaminess of the Brie, paired with sweet yellow onions.
Makes 6 servings
¼ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Lurpak® Unsalted butter
4 cups (approximately 2 pounds) yellow onions
1 teaspoon chopped dill
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 pound box Fettuccine
2 cups Saga® Brie
Combine olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the onions and cook slowly until onions caramelize, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and season with dill, salt, and pepper. In the meantime: cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain well. Toss pasta with the cheese and onions. Serve immediately.
